We'll be launching the first version of http://infochimps.org soon, and able to host, for free, any free open dataset of any size.

The goal of infochimps is a 'wikipedia for data' plus a 'flickr for data' -- if the data is out there, the goal of infochimps.org is to have a pointer to it and as much metadata as the community contributes. If the data can be shared freely, we will host it (and if someone converts it to say XML, we can host that and the conversion scripts). No additional restrictions of any sort are placed on contributed data.
